The database provides access to archived backfiles of journals in the arts and sciences, business, language and literature, science, ecology, botany, and music. Users can access full-text content beginning with the first volume of some journals although recent volumes may or may not be included. Content ranges from 1890 to the present.

Designed to assist the general public in legal matters of all kinds. It includes exclusive full text for many top consumer legal reference books, as well as thousands of legal forms.

Full-text literary database covering all genres and timeframes. It includes thousands of synopses, critical essays, book reviews, literary journals and author biographies, plus full-text classic novels, short stories and poems.

Texas Reference Center is a Texas specific product comprised of periodicals, reference books, reports, and other content relevant to the state. Texas Reference Center contains more than 75 full text periodicals, 150 full text reference books, several Texas newspapers, and much more.

TexShare Program

UNT Dallas Library users (in good standing) may acquire a TexShare card from the library. TexShare cards allow users to borrow library materials from participating libraries throughout the state of Texas.

Cards are issued during normal library operating hours at the library service desk located on the 3rd floor of the Student Center.

Read eBooks for Free

Local libraries often offer free access to ebooks through services such as OverDrive and Hoopla which you can borrow using your local library card. Find out what eResources your local library has to offer by checking their website.

Faded Page is an archive of eBooks that are provided completely free to everyone.

Open library is a project of the Internet Archive and provides online access to many public domain and out of print books.

TEXSHARE CARDS allow users to borrow books from participating libraries throughout Texas.

Google Books
Google Books is a service that searches the full text of books and magazines that Google has scanned and stored in its digital database. The project began in 2004 as the Google Print Library Project through a partnership with several high-profile university and public libraries. Books are made available in the database in two ways. They are either submitted by publishers and authors, through the Google Books Partner Program or through Google's library partners as part of the Library Project. As of 2013, over 30 million books have been scanned.
Hathi Trust Digital Library
HathiTrust is a large-scale collaborative repository of digital content from research libraries. It includes over 60 research libraries across the United States, Canada, and Europe. It's comprised over 10 million volumes, over 2.7 million of which are public domain.
Open Bookshelf - Digital Public Library of America
With the help of our Curation Corps of volunteer librarians, DPLA has created a collection of more than 7,000 free ebooks available for instant download. We also support Open Ebooks, a program that provides free access to ebooks for children in low-income communities.
