On-Campus Research Assistance
Go to the library service desk located on the 3rd floor of the Student Center to request research assistance. A library staff member will work with you at the Research Assistance/Instructional computer.
There is no need to schedule an appointment with a librarian while on campus during normal library operating hours.
Off-Campus (Remote) Research Assistance
Schedule a meeting with a library staff member through Microsoft Teams. Library staff can work with you to setup a time convenient to you during our remote hours of operation.
During the meeting, library staff will share their computer screen as they explore the library's electronic resources.
All UNT Dallas users have access to MS Teams through their Office 365 institutional email account. Either the online or desktop version of MS Teams may be used.

The UNT Dallas Library provides scanning of print materials that are available in the library's physical collection. Users may search the Library Catalog for available material and request that a portion of the material be scanned and sent via email or shared through your UNT Dallas OneDrive account.

The UNT Dallas Library provides a collection of course reserves. The course reserves collection consists of textbooks, DVDs and other material placed on reserve by the library and faculty members. Users can browse available materials by searching the Course Reserves in the library catalog. You can also call the library service desk to determine if material is available for a particular course.
Course Reserves must remain on campus but users may request that a limited number of pages be scanned and sent to them via email or shared through your UNT Dallas OneDrive account.

The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17 U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or reproductions of copyrighted material. Anyone using the library digital scanner, printer, or personal scanning devices (ex. phones, tablets) is liable for any infringement.
Library employees are not liable for unsupervised copying or scanning on reproduction equipment.

You may request articles, books and book chapters from other libraries through the library's interlibrary loan service. To make a request, you can access the patron portal HERE or click on the Request Book/Article - Interlibrary Loan (ILL) link on the library homepage.

TexShare library cards are available at no cost to UNT Dallas students, faculty and staff. TexShare cards allow checkout of material at a any participating Texas library, academic, public or corporate. Rules for checkout are governed by the issuing library.
Finding EUID or Resetting Password
Users will need to enter their EUID and password when prompted in order to access electronic resources. If you have forgotten your EUID or password, you can find or reset it at the UNT System Account Management System (https://ams.untsystem.edu) page.
UNT VPN (Virtual Private Network) -
Users may experience difficulty accessing the library's electronic resources off campus due to firewalls or other issues that may limit access. Users may access UNT Dallas Library electronic resources by signing in through the AnyConnect Client documented here. Note: The browser-based client does not work well for many resources. Download and use the AnyConnect Client instead.
