Campus Reading and Study Rooms
The library features a large reading room that includes comfortable chairs, tables, and individual study cubbies. This area provides ample room to study in a quiet environment.
Also, you will have access to six study rooms that allow you to meet with friends and study groups. Each study room is equipped with a monitor that will allow you to share your computer screen. You do not need to schedule in advance to use any of the library study rooms.
Printer and Digital Scanner
You may print from the library printer by signing into the printer with your EUID and password or swiping your student identification badge.
The library also has a digital scanner that allows you to make PDF copies of your notes or book chapters. Your scans will be emailed to your student email or transferred to your student One Drive account.
Due to copyright restrictions, you are only allowed to make scans of 2-3 chapters of any book.
Library Physical Book and Media Collection
The library provides access to a growing collection of physical books that can be checked out at the library service desk. Most books can be checked out for three weeks and may be renewed if additional time is needed.
The library also provides access to a collection of DVDs that include academic documentaries and movies.
Textbook Course Reserves
The library provides access to a special textbook reserve collection. Items within this collection can be checked out for a limited time and must remain on campus.
Students may also scan a maximum of 2-3 chapters of any book using the library’s digital scanner. This will create a searchable PDF copy of the chapters that will be emailed to you.
To find out if the library has your textbook on reserve you may search the library catalog or email library staff. The library would be happy to scan and send you a PDF copy of needed chapters, however, due to copyright restrictions the library can only send you 2-3 chapters of any requested book.
TexShare Card
TexShare cards allow you to borrow physical books from other libraries throughout the state of Texas. You may sign-up for a card at the library service desk. Upon receiving your Texshare card you may use it for the remainder of the semester.
