by
Francisco José Tarazona-Santabalbina (editor), Sebastià Josep Santaeugènia Gonzàlez (editor), José Augusto García Navarro (editor), and José Viña (editor)
The increase we have witnessed in life expectancy in recent years has been a historical milestone in the history of humanity. Nevertheless, this social success presents great clinical and social challenges. After the first successful Special Issue on this topic, the Guest Editors aim to explore different initiatives that result in the health promotion of older adults, such as multicomponent physical exercise programs, interventions that try to avoid loneliness and social isolation and multidisciplinary assessment, and the treatment of frailty and other geriatric syndromes in various settings, such as the emergency unit, orthogeriatrics, and oncogeriatrics.
